I haven't posted for awhile because of a couple of reasons!
The 15th came and went. When I stepped on the scale I was so disappointed! I had only lost 2 lbs in one month! YUK! I wanted to lose more like 5 lbs per month.
Kevin saw how frustrated I was so he went out and "measured" a two mile walk in our neighborhood. Since then, he has either walked with me or encouraged me to walk the two miles each night! It has helped me, but I still feel like I failed miserably.
I know I have to move on and keep going, but sometimes, it just seems so unrealistic! Pray that I have the motivation to keep this up and keep on going!
I know I need to lose the weight and with summer upon my doorstep, it is just so frustrating to me to think that I am not where I want to be with my appearance!

That's terrific that you have your hubby behind you in this! Keep it up! Maybe you need more than just the walking to help you lose the weight you want to lose? Just an idea. I'm starting to jog instead of aerobics videos. I'm starting off VERY SLOWLY as I'm embarrassingly out of shape but I know in the long run it will be good for my heart and my sausage roll thighs. Be patient and keep up your efforts! I'll be praying God gives you encouragement and strength to endure so you can see some success.
Hey Heather. Take heart! You can do it, and you'll push through this plateau and that will be so encouraging!
I think stepping up your exercise intensity would help too, although I think a brisk walking program would do the job. I HATE running/jogging. (Although, you go Alicia!) I have the Express 4 mile DVD of WATP, and it kicks my butt!
Kudos to Kevin for being such a great and supportive husband. I've got one of those too, and he's helped keep me going this time.
Maybe, too, you could weigh once a week until you reach your goal? I used to think it was bad to weigh myself too much, but now I think it helps me stay on track and catches me before I gain too much weight or plateau for too long.
Thanks Alicia and Katie for the helpful words. I am taking them and using them! I started weighing myself a little more often and I think it will be better in the long run!
I am not sure about the jogging thing though...I tried tonight and just couldn't do it. When I was done my walk though I was wet with sweat and my heart rate was were it was supposed to be. Is that good enough? I am not sure so feel free to answer me!
I did great while camping though. That is where i usually do bad. We are around food all day long and GOOD food!
Heather: Great job girlfriend! No, I don't think jogging is for everyone. In fact it's kicking my butt right now. I barely can do 5 blocks and I feel like I'm going to die when I get back home. I think the key is just to push your body to its limit and to get your heart rate up. Let's pray you can keep up the walking during the work week!
